Our speaker is Jeff Sargent who has been a member of NFPA’s Electrical Engineering Department since 1997.  He has been affiliated with the electrical industry for over 25 years as an electrician, inspector, instructor, consultant, author and electrical specialist.  He was managing editor of the 2011 National Electrical Code Handbook and served as the executive secretary to the NFPA Electrical Section as well as a staff liaison to several NFPA technical committees including the Technical Committee on Electrical Safety in the Workplace and the Technical Committee on Emergency Power Supplies. Jeff is co-author of the Electrical Inspection Manual with Checklists and NEC Q & A. and is a frequent contributor to NECPlus, NFPA’s on-line NEC product and NFPA Journal. A member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), Jeff maintains a professional certification through their Certified Electrical Inspector program and is a licensed master electrician.

 Jeff will cover electrical safety in the workplace including an overview of the NFPA.  He will review the different types of standards/codes the NFPA has purview over.  Jeff will cover the processes for adopting and changing standards and codes.  He will also provide highlights of the standards and codes that may be of particular interest to manufacturers and the EHS compliance"

There is no charge to NPSS members whose dues are paid before or at registration. Non-NPSS members are charged a $35 nominal fee. All attendees are asked to check in at a sign-up table which will be available at registration for dues payments by new or existing members. Bring a business card and we can speed things up at registration by scanning it.  Please provide any special dietary needs with reservations.
