The local meetings and vendor's night are managed and funded exclusively by the Northeast Product Safety Society (NPSS) . Even though NPSS is a completely independent non-profit corporation separate from the IEEE, NPSS members who are also IEEE PSES members formed the Central New England Chapter (CNEC) of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society (PSES) to link NPSS local activities with the International activities of the IEEE PSES. NPSS & CNEC IEEE PSES continuously hold joint meetings and both organizations periodically have sequential meetings with the CNEC IEEE EMC Society.The Northeast Product Safety Society, Inc. meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except for July, August and December) and the week before Thanksgiving in November. The NPSS presentation starts at 7:30 p.m.(refreshments and socializing at 7 p.m.).
