Members and non-members of the Northeast Product Safety Society (NPSS) are encouraged to participate in regular open meetings (bring a friend or associate) held 7 times per year on the 4th Wednesday of the month to share related product safety information within a monthly group of 15-45 attendees. There is also an annual dinner meeting (50-75 attendees) usually held in May and the annual vendors night (125-250 attendees) usually held the 2nd Wednesday in November. The true value of networking and information sharing at NPSS comes from active participation .

We welcome feedback about our monthly programs, annual meeting,  vendors night and other activites which will help serve your product safety and educational needs.

Our next meeting will be April 25 at the Boxborough Holiday Inn. Social Hour will begin at 7:00pm and the technical meeting will start at 7:30pm.

Steve Brody will present an update on the environmental issues facing electronic and electrical product manufacturers, particularly the EU’s recast of their RoHS and WEEE Directives. If you will be in the area please feel free to join us as advanced notice or membership in NPSS or IEEE PSES is not required.

Steve will also be covering China RoHS, the use of conflict minerals in the US and environmental requirements in other geographical locations.

Steve is currently owner/manager of Product EHS Consulting and has been working in the regulatory field for 40 years. He is currently president of NPSS and Chair of IEEE PSES Boston/New England chapter. He is a member of SEMI’s EHS committee and participates in WEEE/RoHS REACH and Conflict Minerals Working Groups.
